We are delighted to be supporting Eleizer from Orchard Mead Academy, Leicester, Ryan and Prattosh from Laytmer School, North London, and Bethany, Benjamin and Cassie-May from Tower School, Ashford in Kent, to participate in their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
This opportunity would ordinarily have been cost prohibitive for all five, being ‘Premium’ students and from disadvantaged backgrounds. But due to the kind generosity of all our supporters we have been able to help Elezier, Ryan, Prattosh, Bethany, Benjamin and Cassie-May, start their Duke of Edinburgh Award Journey.
We were really impressed with all their applications, with their inspiration ranging from David Attenborough, Bear Grylls and Reinhold Messner. However, most impressive and inspiring for us is the determination they all expressed in wanting to participate in all aspects of the scheme, ranging from community volunteering and pushing themselves in the expeditions.
We’re looking forward to hearing all about their progess in the year ahead and seeing lots of photos of their adventures. Good luck from all at Cam and Bear.
